Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? it is even a vapor that appeareth for a little time and then vanisheth away –James 4:14
The past two days I’ve discussed time and how it is a precious commodity that we don’t know how much we have. It could be a few seconds more or years. In the last two days I have discussed those who sacrificed their time to serve my country and what we do with our time in serving the Lord.
Who do we spend our time with and who do we allow to have it? In some ways this post will sound harsh and I don’t mean it to be. Many people want a piece of our time, if you remember in the past two posts, we have roughly 10 years of our life that is up to us on how we use. That’s roughly 12-13% of our life. As I said, many want a piece of our time. Quite frankly, many of those people want to waste our time. I don’t really apologize for not letting people waste my time. Don’t take that as I’m not willing to give my time to my family or friends. We should also be trying to make a difference and help people out.
We should spend our time with the ones that we love and care about. Just as we have a limited amount of time, so do they. We never really know when our time together will be done.
In closing, we should always be respectful of others time, not to waste it. We don’t want people to do it to us, so we should not do it to them. I know I’ve been guilty of doing it.
